Feature · Capture

Memory that captures itself.

Capture is the front door to Akhrots. You add knowledge four ways by hand — or let NUT record it automatically from your AI chats and connected tools — so nothing you learn ever slips away.

What it is

The short version.

Every memory in Akhrots starts here. Capture takes a note, a link, a file or a whole knowledge base and turns it into a structured, typed memory the rest of the system can browse, graph and reason over. It is built so the easy path is the complete one: paste, drop or speak, and Akhrots does the extraction, classification and storage for you.

The breakdown

What you get.

  • Write a note. Jot a thought with a title, a value and a memory type — fact, entity, preference, relationship or observation.
  • Save a link. Paste any URL. Akhrots normalises it (adding https:// and trimming noise) and stores it as a memory you can recall later.
  • Upload files. Drag in PDFs, images, documents or markdown. Akhrots extracts the meaning and previews the memory before you save it.
  • Connect knowledge bases. Sync entire sources — Google Drive, Notion and OneDrive — so existing knowledge flows in continuously (Pro).
  • Auto-capture. Leave it on and NUT quietly records the durable facts from your ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok conversations.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How does auto-capture work?

When auto-capture is on, NUT watches the AI chats and tools you connect and saves the durable facts it sees — decisions, preferences, entities and relationships — without you lifting a finger. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.

What file types can I upload?

PDFs, images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG), Word documents (DOC, DOCX), spreadsheets (CSV, XLSX) and plain text or markdown (TXT, MD). Akhrots extracts the text and structures it into a memory.
