NUT OS

An experiment in making memory tangible: NUT as a living 3D desk companion that physically stores what you save — memories as crystals, walnuts and glowing orbs, and each project as a tiny world.

Experimental Companion

The idea

Most AI lives behind a text box. NUT OS asks a different question: what if your second brain had a body? NUT is a cute, walnut-powered character that lives on your desktop and reacts to you — an evolution of the desktop pet, made genuinely intelligent.

Behaviours

  • Living character. A 3D companion with presence, not just an avatar.
  • Mood system. Happy, curious, focused, excited, sleepy — and it adapts.
  • Idle behaviours. Sleeps, explores, plays, reads and thinks while waiting.
  • Cursor reactions. Responds to movement, clicks and dragging.
  • Visual memory. New memories appear as crystals, walnuts or glowing orbs in its room.
  • Project worlds. Each project becomes a miniature world — a lab, a library, an HQ.
  • Growth system. The more you use Akhrots, the smarter and more developed NUT becomes.

Status

NUT OS is an experimental concept under active exploration, built on our 3D walnut character work. Behaviours and visuals described here are design intent and will evolve — this page will track what ships.
